There’s a song that comes on the radio, and every time it comes on the kids say “Remember to turn it up!”.
We’re generally a quiet family (for our size). I can’t handle more than two sounds coming at me at any one time before I feel like things are spiraling out of control. Since we have four kids the music is generally very quiet. However, there was one day that the kids were all fighting, and I just had E.N.O.U.G.H. So I turned up the music REALLY loud. I’m not really sure if it was because the kids couldn’t hear each other, or if it was because they were in shock, but when the song was over I turned the radio back down, and the kids were quiet.
What could have been a frustrating experience has become a fun family tradition. The kids adore this song, and get very excited to sing/ scream it.
Do you have any fun family traditions that started out of desperation?
